 George has spent twenty five years as a radio broadcaster and station manager. He is a strong supporter of local community service radio stations that are motivated by public service instead of money. He has a passion for what he calls “radio that won’t hurt you”.
George Campbell was born legally blind on a tenant farm in East Tennessee. He has been working and providing for himself since he was twelve years old. He is a self taught professional musician and plays several instruments. He was named educator of the year for 1970 by the NCA and received the Governors award for volunteerism twice.
